The latest.....

I made this cute little pincushion the other day.  Got to cleaning out my filing cabinet and was going through a bunch of patterns, you know, those 10 for 99 cents jobs that Hobby Lobby is always having.  You know you can't get enough of those for that price and heaven knows I've done my best to put a dent in their supply.  Anyhow, I found this little turtle pincushion pattern and suddenly wanted to do something different.  This is how it came out.
Pretty cute if you ask me.  But now it has found a new home at the bottom of Josey's toy box.  She saw it, loved it and thinking that it was a toy for herself, swiped it and played with it for a while, then discarded it without even a second thought.  But I fished it out and hid it.  Imagine, hiding stuff from your kid.  Shame.

Did a little embroidery....

a little applique.....

and a bit of photography......
And of course I have this playmat almost finished.....

This playmat is so cute and was a lot of fun to make.  I know of a sweet little boy named Isaac living in Colorado who would just love this.
Til next week.....

Log Cabin Quilt Block...

I've started my first log cabin quilt.  This is the first block and I think it came out a little wonky looking but nice.  I'm not one for accurate measuring on something like this so it's right up my alley.
I've fussy cut some cute sewing mannequins for the center of this block and I have some prints that have antique sewing machines on them so I will use them for the other blocks.  Cute cute.....
Beyond making this block, I have kinda sorta taken a short sabbatical from sewing this last week because I have discovered....hair clippies!!!  Thanks to that social video network YouTube, I have recently learned how to make these little pretties and here is the stash thus far.....

As you can see, once I started it was hard to stop.  They are so easy, so very addictive and so so cute on the little princess in your life.  If you have not yet learned to make these little bits of glamour, I recommend you learn...

Thanks for visiting my new blog.  I appreciate all comments and suggestions.
